Mr. Filippini was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1946. He started his canine activity in the Argentine dog clubs 30 years ago. His experience in purebred dogs began with the breeding and exhibition of Boxers, followed by Miniature Pinschers, Borzois and Italian Greyhounds. He achieved many high honors with his Miniature Pinschers in South America and Europe. His kennel produced Bests in Show and numerous Champions in different breeds.
He later introduced more breeds into his kennel for breeding and exhibition -- Afghan Hounds, English Cocker Spaniels, Dobermans, Chihuahuas (both varieties), Fox Terriers (Wire and Smooth), Salukis, Maltese, Chow Chows, Yorkshire Terriers, Chinese Shar-Peis and Shih Tzus, which have obtained a great success. With several of his "Alba's Imperial" Kennel Shih Tzus, he won "Best Dog of the Year All Breeds" with the following dogs "Alba's Imperial Narat-Zu" in 1979 & 1980, "Alba's Imperial Kanashiro" in 1984 and "Alba's Imperial Div-Na in 1989".
He has been "Best Breeder" and "Best Exhibitor" of all breeds in 1979, 1980, 1984 and 1989, becoming the first breeder to obtain such honors for four times in his country.
In 1984, he started to judge the Group IX (Toy and Companion Group). He was recognized as an All Breed Judge in 1988. In 1989, he was Founder Member and Breed Director of the "Shih Tzu Can Club".
He is also a Specialist Judge of the following breeds: Poodles (all varieties), Chihuahuas (long and short hair), Dalmatians, Shih Tzu, Kuvasz and Afghan Hounds.
Mr. Filippini is one of the most experienced judges of his country, where he has judged at International, National, Regional and Specialty shows. At present, he is a recognized of the Federación Cinológica Argentina and the Fédération Cynologique International, being allowed to judge all breeds, all Groups and Best in Show.
He has judged in Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay, Chile, Bolivia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Mexico, Italy, Australia, Canada, Israel, Russian, Japan, Peru, Netherlands, Finland, Spain, Seitzerland, England, the United States, Belgium, El Salvador, Portugal, Ecuador, Puerto Rico, Panama, Colombia, Alaska, Luxembourg, Sweden, Cuba, Philippines, Iceland and Thailand.
He has judged at the American and Caribbean Championship Dog Shows: 1996 (Costa Rica), 1997 (Puerto Rico), 1998 (Paraguay), 2000 (Ecuador) and 2001 (Brazil).
At the FCI World Dog Show held in Buenos Aires (Argentina,1993), the FCI Swiss World Dog Show (Berna, 1994), the FCI World Dog Show 1996 (Budapest, Vienna), the FCI World Dog Show 1999 (Mexico), the FCI World Dog Show 2002 (Netherlands), the FCI World Dog Show 2004 (Brazil), The FCI World Dog Show 2005 (Buenos Aires, 2005), the FCI World Dog Show 2007 (Mexico).

His next judgement assignments include different clubs from Argentina, Brazil, Canada and the United States. Also, Clubs of Southern Africa, Australia, Italy, Mexico, Spain, Netherlands, Puerto Rico, Peru, Ecuador, Honduras, Indonesia, Alaska, India, the "AKC/Eukanuba Invitational Championship 2011".
