I owe Pat Krause, former AVP of Companion Events, for my judging career.  She wouldn't let me off the hook and insisted I pursue my Novice provisional.  Once I got the courage to stand on the other side of the clipboard I found a new enjoyment in obedience I'd never experienced before. 

I have three goals that I try to accomplish at every show.  First and foremost I work hard to represent the clubs and canine events well.  Putting on shows is a monumental task and many exhibitors don't realize the effort this requires.  I always encourage exhibitors to thank the many volunteers who make the trial happen.  My second priority is to ensure that all exhibitors have a comfortable and enjoyable experience in the ring.  Third, I look at the glass as half-full and I do my utmost to ensure that teams earn all deserved points under the regulations.
