Cache Clearing Instructions
Choose your platform, browser and version from the ones mentioned below to see the specific instructions for clearing your cache.
Please note that unfortunately, AOL's web browser requires you to quit AOL and then restart AOL and restart your MAC for the cache to completely empty after following the instructions below. You may complete the following instructions online or offline:
From the "My AOL" pulldown menu, select "Preferences" on the toolbar.
Locate the "WWW" icon and click on it.
Locate the square labeled "Disk Cache"
Click on the "Empty Cache Now" button.
Click "OK"
Close the "PREFERENCES" window.
"QUIT" AOL.
Restart AOL (Best practice is to completely restart your MAC)
IMPORTANT MAC AOL TIP!!
Next to the "EMPTY CACHE" button, you can select the MAXIMUM CACHE
SIZE, the lower the number, the fewer AOL temporary files will be stored onto your
hard drive. In simple terms, this means that AOL will take up less space on your hard drive.

From the "My AOL" menu, choose "PREFERENCES"
From the left side of the "PREFERENCES" window, select the "WWW" icon (You may have to scroll to get to the "WWW" icon.)

Click "OK"
Close the "PREFERENCES" window

From the left side of the "PREFERENCES" window, select the "WEB" icon (You will have to scroll down to get to the "WEB" icon.)
Click the "EMPTY CACHE" button
Click "OK"
Close the "PREFERENCES" window.
"QUIT" AOL.
